What Happens during a Lunar Eclipse?
When the Moon, Earth and Sun all line up roughly on a straight line and the Earth is in between the Moon and the Sun, the the Earth blocks the sunlight from the moon and we can watch the Earth's shadow pass over the moon. This is a lunar eclipse.
